Bleakley's In Belfast!!
« on: Tuesday 08 March 05 21:55 GMT (UK) »
I have recently recieved a copy of my g/g/grandfather John Bleakley's marriage certificate to Mary Jane Laverty from 1872. He was married in the Shankhill district (May St Church) and it states his profession as a farmer,
What I'm trying to find out now is wheres the best place to look now to find out if he had brothers, sisters or other family members, His age is stated as "FULL" on the marriage lines. Is there census records for 1871 I can view online for Belfast?or... is there ANY other sources I can search online to find other family members?
                               Regards

Hi Anthony
According to the marriage certificate I have for John his fathers name is also John, Profession is stated as FARMER. There is no mention of his mother name.

                                               Regards

John:
If you haven't already, check Jean McCarthy's site. She has done extensive work on Belfast and you might get some leads.
