Is this a traveller name ?

recently traced my nan who gave my mum up for adoption in 1953 , havent got a lot about my nans back ground out of her she is not giving to much away for some reason , but she did mention to my mum that her mum and dad were travllers . My great grandfathers name was james arthur beards and my great nan was called lily beards nee brown . does the name Beards sound like it is a traveller name ?

I wouldn't know about Beards but, would ye believe; Brown is a very old and widely spread Gypsy name?!

So, there's some more smoke .....

BEARD 1758 (England)(GypsiesPassingThrough)
BROWN 1541- present  (Yorkshire, Cp Brownell) (See Robert Dawson ARITF)

I just wanted to say if you have heard of Bob Lovell in New Zealand just google his name:
His mother's family were Beard or Baird from Scotland beleived to be travelling Family
