At least it's not run by the 1911 census transcribers Marcie, they can't tell a capital L from a capital S in copperplate script!!

I know what you mean Redroger.  On a census I was looking at for oh relatives the writing was so bad that you could not tell whether it was a d or a b.

I know this is going off topic slightly, and I hope no-one minds, but in my oh family he has the name Tickle , they had loads of little Tickles; and the other one is Davis.
Davis ' first name was Job, he and his wife had several children, one which they named Job David Davies, he married and had a son whom he called Job David Davies, he married and had a son whom I could not  work out whether his second name was David or Bob. Came up with Bob a Job.  How cruel can parents be.

Try this one Marcie: About 40 years ago, a person for whom I had personnel responsibilities wife had a baby, called him Terry bec ause his wife thought it appropriate. Surname Towle!
