Burials and marriages? Modified
« on: Monday 02 November 09 18:20 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Would it be possible for someone to see if the following people have been added to the burial or marriage records please?
Thank you

Deaths

Robert Cranston/e - died 1850 in Whitechapel - wife Henrietta
Mary Louisa Leech - if they died it would be after 1871 :) - father William Henry Leech
Louisa Harriett Leech - ditto                                           - possibly Islington/Hackney areas

Marriages

Fred/erick Ballard to Ellen (Augusta) Baker - 1889 in Hammersmith
Mary Louisa Leech - after 1880 - father as above

Louisa Harriett Leech - after 1880 - ditto - there is one Louisa Harriett Leech listed in marriages so I am hoping someone may be able to look her up and see what other information is given on her please?

Joseph Ballard - to ?? - parents above

William Henry Ballard - to?? - as above

George Henry Ballard - again as above

possibly in the Hammersmith/Kensington/Fulham area but I haven't a clue really they could even have died after 1905 which is where I have lost them.
There is one George Henry Ballard coming up and 2 George Henrys but I can't access the rest of the info. so I'm hoping can help me please?
Many thanks and I hope all this comes out as I can't see what is being typed!

Hi Cranstone

Although the 1889 entry is on freebmd, there isn't a match on the LMA dataset, so they either married in a non-anglican church, synagogue, the register office or more than likely, St Pauls Hammersmith.

The register for St Pauls have been deposited at the Hammersmith & Fulham Archives, not the LMA.

Looks like you'll have to pay £7 for this one from the GRO just to confirm all the details.

No marriages for the other 3 names, add St Mary Abbotts, Kensington to your missing list as the registers are still at the church, I think they charge the church rate of £19 per look-up.

What have you found on freebmd? The LMA dataset only goes up to 1921 and they may have married outside the timeframe.

Have you tried the Commonwealth War Graves site to see if they were casualties of WW1

This is most probably the burial Nanny Jan refers to

Christ Church Spitalfields

1850, March 1st

Robert Cranston (abode) Workhouse (age) 37 yrs

I checked freebmd and Louisa Harriet Leech married either Archibald John Thomas or Stanley George Gordon Sept 1/4 1904 Marylebone but there isn't a corresponding entry on the LMA dataset.
