Joanna   Dau   c1860   Churchdown

On the 1871 census they lived at 42 Chosen Hill.

John and Mary Dancey had 10 children with William (30 April 1820)

being the second son and fourth child.

If this is the William who you are searching for I can supply you with information on previous generations.


John was born in 1789 and married Mary Pomfery.


John's father was William ( 1743-1837) born in Turkdean: mother Joanna Cryer (1760-1813)  born in Fairford.

William's father Samuel Dancey (1713-1773):Grandfather also Samuel(1676-1741):Great-grandfather is probably John Dancey born in Kingscote.
