COMPLETED Marriage/baptism look up please
« on: Saturday 07 November 09 17:25 GMT (UK) »
Hi there.

I have been told of a marriage in Swansea that could be my ancestor? Is it possible for some to look up the details for me? And, if it's not being too cheeky, I am hoping this couple had a child named John Morgan Butler.

Martin Butler married in Swansea in 1873.

Many many thanks.
Liz

Hi
There is only one Mary Butler  marriage between 1872-1874
Mary Butler 4th qtr year 1873 district Merthyr Tydfil vol 11a page 863 =m=possible marriages Lewis Davies or Thomas Emanuel
Where was mary born you can look at the 1881 census and put in both male names and see if one is married to mary and if that mary is born where you know she was she is the one. Also are you sure that mary did marry in Swansea? thats the thing with family history its not what you always think.
hope this helps
cheers cardiff ;)

Hi Cardiff

Thank you for that info, I am actually looking for Martin Butlers marriage not a Mary :) Unless of course you are saying that Mary is the only Butler marriage listed?

Cheers
Liz

Thank you Cardiff  :)

I will try and look up some census'. If I can find that they had a son named John Morgan, then I know I will have the right people.
 Cheers.
