The building shown as the Estates Office at the Aberystwyth Workhouse site was once upon a time the Maternity Home.   It was opened 28 April 1934 and placed under the eagle eye of Matron A.G.Morgan.   It was originally staffed by a sister, a nurse and a probationer.
