Thanks aghadowey,
I have this information also. It is all a bit confusing. He was COI. His wifes relations lived in the house in Prospect Pl. He married in 1905. His wife was living in B'fast with family1911 census. Where was he ? Why can't I find him or his sibblings?

There are names and places mistranscribed in the census, The sisters Minnie and Cissie will be harder to find as we don't know their 'real' names but I do think the family I found in Belfast (reply #1) might be them- seems too much of a coincidence that head of household is also a railway engine driver.

Thanks aghadowey,
I too felt these were my strongest lead, just the dates put me off. I will respect your knowledge on these matters and will see where I can go from here with the said family.
Thanks again

The Prospect Pl. address would probably be  where his wife (next of kin) was living. Were her family Church of Ireland by any chance?
Could Robert have been in Army in 1911?

He enlisted B'mena but I do not actually have the date so yes it is possible. Will follow this up. His wifes family were Methodists & Presbyterian. Thanks

Hi aghadowey,

Back again,
Just to inform you I have been told that based on Roberts service number he would have enlisted Jan-March 1915.
On my fathers birth cert. July 1915 Robert is a Private 4th Bat. I F.
