mcgowan and lynch family in leitrim

patrick and ellen mcgowan arrived in australia 1913/14, we now know that they used her maiden name their entire lives instead of lynch for reasons unknown and well hidden(maybe  criminal)
married in belfast 1913 under name lynch, info we have suggests ellen may come from leitrim , parents denis and ann at least one sibling kathleen ( possible nickname or middle name).
ellen born about 1890.
any info on this family will be wonderful.
