1841 census lookup HOOK family - Deptford
« on: Monday 16 November 09 11:01 GMT (UK) »
Hi. Can anyone do an 1841 census lookup for me (or even 1851)??
I am looking for the following family:

John and Elizabeth HOOK (maiden name unknown) possibly born about 1793, possibly in Kent. His occupation could have been engineer of some kind.

I am also looking for their son:
Thomas Lear HOOK and Marie/Mary Therese HOOK. He was born in Dartford, Kent in 1813, and baptized in Deptford at the Wesleyan Chapel. They were married in Paris about 1833. His occupation might have been engineer of some kind. They seemed to have lived in several London suburbs.

Any help would be great. Katharine.

Thanks preserved Killick. That's fabulous. Not in later censes as they arrived in Australia in 1855. No luck on the parents...John and Elizabeth. I suspect they are born in Kent.
I wonder if you might be able to do another lookup for me. I don't have all the information sitting in front of me at present, but I am looking for a family by the name of WATTERS WALTERS or WATERS living in Chiswick, London about the time of the 1841/1851 censes. Husband was John and wife was Rosetta. I think he might have been a shopkeeper.
Thanks, Katharine.
