Experts needed**COMPLETED - THANKS
« on: Tuesday 17 November 09 09:00 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,
please will you cast your eyes over these two images. I suspect that we have "Barnard Brown" and "Harriet Prowse" or is it "Harriet Brown"?

Thanks
Beth

Me also...Harriet Brown.

Look at the link between the 'w' and the 'n' at the end of the word.

Could it be a 'P' in the second one - it has a loop on the downstroke and looks different to the 'Bs' in Bernard and Brown  :-\

Hi Maggie

I also thought that maybe it was Prowse but then saw that they were different snips so I'm not sure it's the same handwriting - does anyone have the census page ref?

Sorry, I should have said they were from the 1841 Census. Currently having a bob each way as A*ry has it as Brown, and FindMyPast has it as Prowse.
