Photo identification please
« on: Tuesday 17 November 09 20:55 GMT (UK) »
My father joined the RAF as a gunner in WW2, but after the war (late 1945) was transferred to the Royal Irish Fusiliers and sent to Greece until sometime in 1946.
This photo of my father (far right) is I guess from that era.
Can anyone identify the other two men or where/when it was taken?
It seems unusual for a coloured photo from that era.
Many thanks

Standard shirt-sleeve order and battledress trousers - no badges or ranks visible.

Thanks Ainslie,
All the other photos of father I have are RAF and the blue uniform.
Do you think this is RAF or Army clothing?

If it has been coloured correctly...Army.... ;)

Looks like a post negative hand colouring, but I'm sure the photo restoration board would give you a definitive answer!
