Hi Poppyann,
The IGI only gives a Hannah Tuppeny in 1772 but she dies in 1777.
This looks to be her (Nancy's) marriage & the IGI gives births & baptism's at NC church Heathfield of their children so perhaps you should be looking into NC baptismal records.
Perhaps Nancy was born in another parish which isn't on the IGI  :-\
Have you found her on a census?  Is that where you have her DOB from or a death record?

Ticehurst, East Sussex,   22 Dec 1789:
 Nancy TUPPENY

Hi All

The 1801 Census for Ticehurst still survives and on it are 4 TUPENNY families as follows:

1. Isaac Tupenny & John Brett shared a house named Withenden - Inhabitants consisted of 2 Families of 6 Males and 10 Females

2. Isaac Tupenny lived in Dalehill where there were 2 families consisting of 3 Males and 5 females

3. Thomas Tupenny with 1 family of 3 males and 3 females

4. Thomas Tuppeny consisting of 1 family of 1 male and 1 female.

Afraid that the 1801 is all statistics, that is why it is not much good to Family Historians - but it at least proves that the family were thriving in Ticehurst

Hi Again

By 1811 the Tupenny clan had grown and there were now 5 families in Ticehurst as follows

1. William Tuppinny and John Hastings shared a house with 2 families consisting of 4 males and 7 females

2. Isaac Tuppenney and Thomas Sawyer shared a house with 2 families consisting of 4 male and 9 females

3. Isaac Twopny shared a house with Mrs Hickes consisting of 3 families of 12 males and 10 females

4. T Twopny lived in a house on his own

5. Isaac Tuppenny with 2 males and 3 females share a house with Thomas Kemp and 2 males and 2 females.

I would expect some of those names to appear as witnesses on marriage certificates

Hope that helps
