At this link you can find a James Bell and Isabella Allen marrying 9 Aug 1902 Nanaimo, BC (on Vancouver Island).  I didn't check for their deaths.

If you are interested in obtaining details from any registrations you find on the link there are people on this forum who have access to that information and are willing to do lookups.  Post the appropriate details and amend the subject line to include lookup requested.

I found a James and Isabella Bell in Nanaimo on the 1911 census but he is listed as being born Oct 1879 in Ireland.

James Bell, head, 32, born Oct 1879 in Ireland, immigrated 1897, teamster
Isabella Bell, wife, 30, born Feb 1881 in Ireland, immigrated 1902
Grace E Bell, daughter, 7, born Oct 1904 in British Columbia
Stanley Bell, son, 6, born Mar 1905 in British Columbia
Martel Bell, daughter, 3, born Apr 1908 in British Columbia
Dorethy L Bell, daughter, 1, born Apr 1910 in British Columbia

Here's a link to the image at Library and Archives Canada (family starts on line 32):

I haven't been able to find James on the 1901 census. I did find an Isabella Allen who sailed on the Mongolian which arrived on 7 Jul 1902 in Quebec. The passenger list indicates she was headed for Nanaimo. Here's a link to the image at LAC (on the lower half of the page):

Going from when Isabella arrived and when they married it certainly seems likely they knew each other in Ireland.

I was doing some look ups at the library so I quickly checked the marriage record for James & Isabella.  Here are the details:

James - 27yrs old, born Armagh Ireland, parents Robert & Margaret Bell, bachelor, occupation Miner

Isabella - 23yrs old, born Armagh, parents William & Grace Allen, spinster

Witnesses - Edward Parkin & Henrietta Bell

Married 9 Aug 1902 according to rites of the Methodist Church at the residence of Mrs Bell, Nichol Street Nanaimo.

Hopefully this is enough to confirm him as the one you are looking for.

There was no first name listed on the registration.  But one of the witnesses was a Henrietta Bell.  She appears in the 1901 Census in Nanaimo living with her widowed mother, J. Sarah Bell, and siblings E. Beatrice, Wm Robert and Margaret.  Here is the link:  http://automatedgenealogy.com/census/ViewFrame.jsp?id=60892&highlight=8

You can search for additional Bells in the 1901 and 1911 Census returns - http://automatedgenealogy.com - once you find a match and click on the page link, you will see the results returned in a table.  But click on the "split view" link at the top of the page to see the actual census return with additional information.

I am not sure what Bells you are looking for so can't help search further!
