If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

I've already tried there and after keeping my fingers and toes crossed for two weeks they replied saying they couldn't find anything !  :-\ :-\

But I appreciate your reply !

This may be a silly question but are you sure the person was buried and not cremated?

Also if they were buried could they be buried elsewhere eg in Huntingdon whose cemetery is I think larger.

No ! you're not silly David ! - because when I got out the death cert to send for further information I "saw" for the first time ... in spite of looking at it many times ... that because there was an autopsy there was a cremation ! :-\

So now I'm not sure where the ashes were scattered   :-[

I could have sworn I remembered the cemetery being mentioned ... but now I don't know !!  :-\

And I don't know how to find out !

Ah. If it was a cremation then I would guess that the ashes could possibly be scattered at the large crematorium on the outskirts of Cambridge.

I would suggest contacting them to see if the cremation took place there. If it did they should be able to tell you if the ashes were scattered there or taken away.

This link gives the address, telephone number and a map of the location of the crematorium
