G grandfather Thomas Borthwick
« on: Friday 27 November 09 12:38 GMT (UK) »
Hi again  :)

This is Frances's husband Thomas. As I said if anyone has the time and fancies a go at fixing and colouring that would be great.  :)

Thanks  :)

Hi Wendy, Big Al, Genechaser and Hippy  :)

Wendy,  Thomas looks just lovely,  I'm so pleased with the colouring, makes him look very handsome.  :) Thank you again.  I always feel quite sad when I look at my photos of him and think that he was killed at the Battle of Loos when only 33.

Big Al, Many thanks to you also, lovely b/w and the blue background makes him stand out even more.  :) I can’t get enough of my photos being restored and I’m sure I’ll be back when I’ve let a suitable time lapse.  ::)

Genechaser,  Another lovely colouring, thank you so much.   :)He is quite dapper looking isn’t he.  They were quite a lovely couple I always think.

Hippy,  You’ve done it again, just lovely, and thank you again.  :) I’m trying to figure out how old they would have been on these photos.

A spooky thing happened when I was doing the family tree. I had always known Thomas was killed at the Battle of Loos but had  no idea of date. When I finally went looking I discovered it was September 25th 1915.  The date I had gone onto the War Graves site to look it up was September 25th.

Thank you all so much for taking the time, I just love being spoiled like this. :) :)
