MIs req for Hope in Ancrum & Jedburgh
« on: Friday 27 November 09 13:48 GMT (UK) »
I am attempting to tie some Hope families together in this area, particularly the family of David Hope who moved from Ancrum to Jedburgh and died there in 1856. It would be appreciated if some kind person could do a lookup for me
Thanks
April

Hi April

I'd be interested in chatting about William, who likely moved to Jedburgh and died suddenly in 1948.

I suspect David Hope and Elizabeth Halliburton were likely his parents, having moved from Ancrum, to Nenthorn and then Jedburgh. They would have lived on the same street as William.

Your post is obviously several years old now, but I've only just come across it after revisiting this party of my family tree - having given up on this section quite some time ago.

I've a long list of notes about the family, but have yet to prove the connection.
