It is my understanding that the James family emigrated to Pennsylvania in the USA abt 1877. You are all being very helpful.

Thank all of you for putting me on the right track! The parents were in fact John and Anna. Their 86 year old great grand daughter also thanks you. I found the James family in the 1880 US Cencus living in Pennsylvania.
