Hello,

1871 mistranscribed but looks good to me, Noakes on the page.

3 Commercial Place, Northfleet kent

Ann Noaks 59  Cobham, Kent, England Wife
Edward Noaks 59  Udamore, Sussex, England Head
Ann Russell 18  Meopham, Kent, England Visitor

Edward is a drayman

May give you a lead on finding them on 1837online for 1861.

Me again,

On 1837online 1861 census, looks like they are again mistranscribed as Noaker living in North Aylesford.  Just looked at the index, not the actual image but worth a go I think.  Edward is transcribed as Edwards so search under Ann  ;)

In 1881 looks like Ann is a widow in an Asylum in Maidstone, aged 71.  Don't know if that fits with your 1891.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for looking that up, should be able to get somewhere now (your last post
looks interesting in 91: widow age 75 but I would like her to be older)

Many thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Not sure if this will be of any help, but

Noakes from Sussex are also from Brede. I have connections via my Furminger line and have contact with a Noakes researcher in America that may be able to help
