If you are sure William died aged 45, the only death that looks close is William Wenham died Winchester Hampshire 1901.

Hi Julie

The photo is my great grandad!

I have been looking back through endless printouts which I kept "just in case".  The 1891 census shows  -  11 Green Lane, Ilford

Martha Johnson  Mother  Married  Age 58  born Halesworth Suffolk
George Johnson  Son       Single           29  born London
Harry Wenham Grandson Age 9  born Dulwich Surrey
Cissy Wenham Granddaughter Age 10 born Dulwich Surrey
Emily Wenham Granddaughter Age 6 born Manor Park Essex

So the young children were with their grandmother and their Uncle George! (My husband's great grandfather)
