Dean - Yorkshire Area
« on: Saturday 12 March 05 13:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I've started to search for my GGranparents and have been lead to believe that they are Everal Annie Jolly (nee Dean) and James Jolly, form Yorkshire. Both born late 1800's James being the son of a James Jolly, both in the Poultry trade.
Everal Annie & James had 2 (poss 3)children but Everal died in mid 1930's, and James remarried and had 2 further sons. Details very sketchy as I never knew my GGranparents, my Nan had a serious 'falling out' with the family and all details have been lost.
Any details from anyone else would be greatly appreciated.

Cheryl,
many thanks. I've now had 2-3 responses with the same Everal Annie Dean, and she appears to be the only one who appears in any of the censuses. My family info was sketchy, as I was told my GGranddad was George, with GGrandMother Kathleen, however I know that in my family there has been a long trdition of using middle names, so William George is a strong possibility. My Nan passed away some time ago and she would rarely speak about her family, so alot of what I'm doing is on spec. This does tie in with very similar info my husband was able to collate a short while ago, so I'm going to run with it & see where it takes me.
I've had a response from Linnet on the Jolly's and this ties in with estimated dob's, etc so I'm going to spend a little time this evening putting this together.
Thanks again, Jools :D
