When Henry LADNER Died in 1888 in Thames New Zealand at age 48, he left Mary BRADLEY, a widow with 10 children, seven Boys, aged 2,6,8,10,16.18,22 years old and three girls aged 4,14,20.
Given that he appeared in the april 1841 Census (see below) as 20 years and he married at the age of 25 in Feb 1865 and died at the age of 48 on the 9 Sep 1848, we can assume he was born in the latter quarter of 1840 i.e. late Sep to Dec 1840.
Death Certificate states he was born in London, but given his wife could not read or write at the time of their marriage I have to wonder if this is correct. IGI has him born in Cornwall, only census close to him has him born in Kent.
