Are you sure he was born in Erpingham? Freereg has the baptism of a Thomas, son of Thomas and Mary Brakonbury, baptised 27th Mar 1759.

Erpingham has only been added to freereg from the archdeacon's transcripts, so there will be many gaps, but there are no Brackenburys coming up there on FreeReg at all. If you are sure he was born in Erpingham, then perhaps ask for a look up from the parish registers in the look-up requests section.

Hi

Erpingham is also the name of two hundreds (North Erpingham and South Erpingham), the civil registration district, and the poor law union, so a reference to Erpingham could mean this parish, or this area of Norfolk.

The Thomas baptised 27 March 1759 in North Walsham.
North Walsham is in the Erpingham Registration District.

Tick the soundex box for Brakonbury on http://freereg.rootsweb.com/cgi/Search.pl

there are several people for various spellings of the name

regards
yokel

Thank you Peggypatch and Yokel, looks like the thomas baptised 27 march 1759 is a match. thomas parents are thomas and Mary surname unknown. there are 4 baptisms for thomas senior. 3 of them to john and Jane 1726,1728/29,and 1734. the other one in 1722 to john and Hester. so it looks like i got 2 choices 1722 and 1734.
                                                regards
