Assisted Immigrants to Australia
« on: Sunday 06 December 09 22:19 GMT (UK) »
Around 1860, there were many single young ladies who emigrated to Australia under an assisted passage scheme. Does anyone know whether there was a lower age limit below which one could not be considered for "assisted immigration"?

Also are there any lists of these emigrants from the British end?
