William Price, bn 1769,Great Waltham
« on: Saturday 12 March 05 22:09 GMT (UK) »
William was christened on Sept 3 1769 at Great Waltham, one of five children of John and Mary.
He married Sarah Smith 27 Oct 1792 at Great Waltham.
I believe they had four children, one being my 3rd Great Grandfather William, bn 25 Dec 1792 and transported to Australia in 1816.
Does anyone have any information please ::)

Here's the  1769 image we were talking about in Great Waltham ref: D/P 121/1/1 fiche 2 of 5. Was the second Price entry  intended to say 'Sam John and Mary Price' or 'Same John and Mary Price'? Is it my imagination or is there an old-fashioned 'ye' in there which, if there is, would make it mean 'the same etc

Hi Clincher.
I really appreciate this.
Well it is difficult to read but I think you are right.
I have downloaded the image and enlarged it and it certainly seems to be as you say.
Thanks again and if there is anything I can do for you "Down Under" let me know.
