Looking for Lizzie Perks...Help Please
« on: Friday 11 December 09 17:45 GMT (UK) »
The only infomation that I have was that she married John Henry Glasby April 8th 1912  at St Pauls Church in the Parish of Aston in the country of Warwick. The marriage certificate states that she was 22  residence was bock 141 Wheeler street , fathers name is Simon Perks ( the writing is a bit hard to understand so this may not be correct) He was a plasterer.  They had three chidren Maisie May 6th May 1912 sub district of All Saints in the country of Birmingham C.B., Albert 12th July 1913 sub district of Aston in the country of Birmingham C.B., and John Henry 28th November 1914 sub district of St. Mary's in the country of Birmingham C.B.,
On two birth certificates of her children her name is Lizzie on one it is Elizabeth. Her mariage certificate has Lizzie on it.
Her husband John died in the war in France 13th March 1915 and it is understood that the children were (at least the older two) put in an orphanage when Albert was about three. Albert (my Grandfather) mention that he did not remember Baby John being with them. He never really spoke of his childhood which is why we do not have much information.
Any information that you can find would be gretly appreciated.
 :D

Who were the witnesses to Lizzie's marriage?

Could her father's name by any chance be David rather than Simon?
