Elizabeth Mathieson

Looking for information on Elizabeth Mathieson and her parents and ancestors.  Elizabeth is my great grandmother and she married George Forsyth.  I believe that the family came from the Falkirk area in Scotland.

Elizabeth Mathieson married George Forsyth and had a son Thomas in 1866 in Falkirk, Scotland.

For starters - Her marriage certificate should give both of her parent's names.

This couple do not appear on either the Scottish 1871 or 1881 census and there is no marriage showing on the IGI and no baptisms of any children

Where did you get your info re: 1866 marriage

There is no George Forsyth(e) in Stirling with a wife Elizabeth and there is no Thomas Forsyth(e) b Stirling between 1866-1871

I could not see the marriage on SP taking place anywhere in Scotland before 1866. There is a George Forsyth with wife Elizabeth in 1871 - but he is born 1826 and the family is living in Aberdeenshire.
I'm wondering if one or more of the names are wrong?
