Naisby family Ainderby Steeple 18th century
« on: Tuesday 15 December 09 21:09 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find out about members of the Naisby family from Ainderby Steeple during the 18th century and early 19th century. So far I have:
Children of John and Catharine Naisby
   Ann Naisby 1777 Ainderby Steeple
   John Naisby 1779 Ainderby Steeple
   Joseph 1781 Ainderby Steeple
   William 1784 Ainderby Steeple
William, who led me to Ainderby Steeple, went on to found a string of mainly drapers shops in Bolton Lancs and Liverpool and was quite a political figure and social reformer in the 1800s.
Can anyone lep me out? :)

Hi
I see that all those baptisms on the IGI are member submitted so if you have not already done so you need to check the original register to see if they are correct.  It will be at Northallerton record office or if you are near an LDS centre you can get the film to search there.  There may be lots more information in that register as those early dates are not covered on the IGI as far as I can see.
Regards
Andrea

Hi Andrea
Unfortunately I live a long way from Yorkshire and am unlikely to be able to get to Northallerton. Is there an on-line resource that I could access?
Best wishes
Jan

Hi
You don't say where you live on your profile but the LDS familyhistory centres are worldwide.  Listed on www.familysearch.org  You order the film in and then can search it there.
I am not aware of an online source for these but it might be worth looking at the Cleveland FHS site to see if they have done any transcripts.  Another helpful group is the Dales FHS which is part of the Cleveland one and as many of their members live in that area they often go to Northallerton and they have an email section.
