The only other partial image I have of the car, which will not help any, is this one in profile.

A Consul can be seen here, it is a 1960's MK2.

This is the 1950's MK1

I am convinced that the Chevrolet is correct.

Very like a Ford Consul.

Same number of wheels ;)

Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Definately not a Ford Consul, the front windscreen curves around the sides as on a Chevy - also similar to a Vauxhall Cresta but that is a Cresta as posted by Geoff-e, and deffinately not one of those either.

Just noticed looking again that it has a small quarterlight window on the side rear, unlike the 1955 Chevys pictured, but I still sure it's a Chevy. Off to see if I can find an older model.....

Hi again Philip, and everyone helping  :)

I think I've found it - 4 Door version of 1955 Chevy, note the indent in the lines about in the middle of the rear door and the small rear quarterlight :

Me again  ::)

Only British possibility I can think of is 1964 Humber Hawk, but I think the front grille is to high on these:
