John Simpson Spencer
« on: Sunday 20 December 09 05:51 GMT (UK) »
Hello All!

I am looking for any information on John Simpson Spencer.  He was married abt 1785 to Elizabeth Knott at St. George the Martyr in Southwark.  he died sometime before 1799 in Jamaica.

His son was John Hodges Spencer, born April 7, 1790, at Cornhill, London, England.  He was educated at Christ's Hospital and went to join the Hudson's Bay Company.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.  Thank You.

Hi Warren Smith :)

For John Spencer you'd need to ask on the Other countries Board and include Jamaica in your header. I assume you are interested in his time in Jamaica.

So the son went to Canada probably 1810 or so? Is that a reasonable deduction?  Did he die there?  Do you know in which province he worked?

Have I got the direction in which you are thinking correct?

O.k. Thank you for the assistance.  I will try the other Board.
