Lawrence Naisby b1906 West Derby married Gertrude Pinnington 1928 Toxteth and was a maker of violins in Liverpool.
Can anyone tell me more about him?

He is mentioned on this link under the heading Byrom Model and I think Jan Shelley might know more about him if you make contact:-

Thank you Luzzu and Gortonboy who both sent me the same information. The weird thing is that the person on whose behalf I am researching the Naisbys actually knows the person referred to in your e-mails who inherited the violin-making tools, but was completely unaware that there was this link until now!

Hello

I have sent a Personal Message with some information about a possible descendant of Laurence Naisby. Incidentally, if you search using his name with a "u" instead of a "w" there are a few hits.

Hi.  I grew up in Preston.  My Dad played the violin.  For some reason, he always took his violin to Laurence Naisby for repairs, adjustments, new strings, etc.  Sometimes we all went in the car for the ride.  I have a handwritten note from Mr Naisby to my father dated 18th May 1953.  I could send you a photo of it, if you like.  I was born in 1960, so my father was clearly a well-established customer of his!  Actually, he trained to be a music teacher at Chester College, as it was then, so perhaps he had Mr Naisby recommended to him while there.
Kind regards, Ruth Melton.
