Hi everyone,

Was wondering of somebody is visiting the AK Bell Library in Perth, would they be kind enough to have a look at the obituary for the above lady who died in January 1970.  Obituary was published on 22nd January 1970.  Index I have is Cou 1970 Jan 22 p 16 col 7.   This may help solve a family mystery.

Thanks Ev.   I have her birth in Horsham Sussex.  Had been told there was a connection to Scotland in the Vinall family.  She appears to be that connection.  She appears to have never married and lived her life in Scotland.  Am now going to try and find out what she did there, it's a long way from Sussex.

Went to the library today when I was in Perth. The ref. turned out to be only  a death notice in the Courier which I'll send by PM, so not much new information there. I checked the Perthshire Advertiser as well, but didn't find anything else.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do that look up for me.  Yes is very disappointing.  Don't know where to go from here. 

Was wondering what Merrie Mead was or is.  The name of a place, farm, guest house.   Perhaps somebody reading this might know.

Merrie Meade is a house on Perth Road, Birnam. I can't find any pictures of it but Google maps will show you the location.
Her death cert. should give her occupation. You won't be able to view it on Scotlands people, but maybe someone could look it up for you.

 Thanks for that information Isabel.  By looking up her death certificate, do you mean somebody may be able to give me the reference numbers in order to purchase it?
