Info on Margaret Bridie of Glamis - Forfar Bridie
« on: Monday 28 December 09 00:40 GMT (UK) »
One of the explanations of the origin of the Forfar Bridie (a form of pastie made with beef) is that it was sold at Forfar market (Angus) by a Margaret Bridie of Glamis in the 19th Century.  Does anyone have any access to information on Margaret Bridie who is  buried in Glamis Cemetery where I am told there is a headstone on her grave with information about her. The headstone is shown on the website for St Fergus Kirk, Glamis but is too small a resolution to be read.  www.stferguskirkglamis.co.uk/cemetglamisbridie.html
Any information gratefully received. Thanks Kirwan

There is lots online about Margaret.

But if you want just a clearer picture of her stone I would send an email via the link below the photo.
