Hi Alison,

can't find another Henry Bongartz, but there is a Wilhelm Bongartz going to Canada. I don't have the right subscription, so can't tell you dates. Port of Arrival was Quebec.

Is it possible that he went to Germany after his family left for Canada?

I was talking to christina johann's daughter by the other woman and she reckoned johann's parents and sister might have gone to africa, Because there was a big part of africa that was where german people settled..
Many thanks, but why would christine and Johann's mother go off to toronto canada and leave their father. It just don't seem cosha if you know what i mean. Alison
