1851 Census lookup - Ashton
« on: Monday 14 March 05 04:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi Everyone,
Could some kind person look up this family in the 1851 census please.  In 1852 they were living in Much Lane, Lincoln but it is not known if they were there in 1851.
In 1857 Mary Ann Ashton was living at 24 Broadgate, Lincoln, and is still there in 1861 census with new husband Andrew Binns.

William Ashton (birth unknown)
Mary Ann Ashton (nee Rollitt) b. 1823, Lincoln
William Rollitt Ashton, Christened 1844 St.Swithin Lincoln

I have been unable to find their marriage so far on Free BMD.
Thanks in advance,
DelB

Hi Wendy,
Another very big thank you for this information too.  You really are a star!
This has broken down a very stubborn brick wall for me as I knew Mary Ann's father was John Rollitt but had so many choices to follow it was impossible to be accurate.  I will now  be able to find the rest of the family line.
Many many thanks,
DelB
