Can anyone find these people in 1851 please.

This was they in 1841 , all in Clovelly

Thomas Hockridge 30
John Hockridge 22
William Hockridge 25
Ann Hockridge 22

I am also interested in where they were born please - probably Welcombe or Clovelly

Since ages are rounded to the nearest 5 years in 1841, the following could well be wrong.  Since you didn't say what they did, I'm not sure if they are the correct ones.

Can I just ask you where you purchased your copy of the 1851 Devon census from please ?

It's the LDS three counties census transcript for Norfolk, Devon and Warwick.  I bought it many moons ago looking for some errant ancestors in Norfolk.  (They weren't there but just over the border in Suffolk - that took me years to discover!)

Back to Thomas Ching - there doesn't appear to be one born in Clovelly around 1830, only the Thomas born in 1801 married to Damaris.  Another was born there in 1847 to John & Susan Ching.  John is a Bible Christian minister.  Woolfardisworthy is barely three miles from the town of Clovelly.  Have a look at this:
