There is a marriage James Park to Mary Murray in Glasgow 29th May 1874 - you can download the marriage certificate from Scotlandspeople.gov.uk to get their parents.
All Cabrach, Fyvie, Methlick in Aberdeenshire
Mee, Merrin, Stevenson in Notts Derby

Hi Jim

Ev's entries for the children do match the household in Everton for 1881. Can't see the reference to Aberdeenshire as yet from the 1861 entry for this family:

James Park 36, candlemaker, b. Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire
Mary Park 31 b. Irvine Ayrshire
James Park 8 b. Irvine, Aryshire
Franer (?Francis) Park 5 b. Irvine, Aryshire
Grace Park 3 b. Glasgow

Address: 30 Adelphi St, Hutchestontown, Glasgow Govan

Can't see them as yet in Scotland in 1871.

The 1881 census entry simply shows them as born in Scotland apart from youngest daughter. Is it a later census that makes a reference to Aberdeenshire?

Hi Jim

The original image of the 1881 census entry only shows Scotland for them all apart from youngest Jane  :-\ Have a look also at the 1881 index which is free to view on www.familysearch.org

I can't easily see them in England for 1891 to be able to re-confirm birth places.

Just found the family already down in England by 1871 in Liverpool:

James Park 48, oil refiner
Mary Park 41
James Park 18, grocer
Francis Park 15
Grace Park 13
John Park 8

RG10; Piece: 3792; Folio: 124; Page: 40

Everyone again showing as born in Scotland with no additional place name.

There is this possible birth entry showing on IGI at www.familysearch.org

JAMES PARK Birth:23 JUN 1823 Port Glasgow, Renfrew
Parents: JAMES PARK and GRIZEL MURRAY

Grizel is a variant of Grace. Might explain some of the names of the children and the use of the surname Murray for the children of James and Mary (Kerr).

Which line are you following? What is the source of the surname Murray for James' wife Mary?
