orphan children
« on: Tuesday 29 December 09 22:40 GMT (UK) »
Hello:
I am trying to help a friend with their family tree.
The name that I am hunting up is, John Halliwell. He came to Canada as a young man. He was an orphan or something in that way. He came around the First World War era and he was from England. He did end up in the Niagara region of Ontario.

I am trying to find a marriage berween John Halliwell and Catharine White. He was from England and Cathararine was born in Scotland. I think they were married around 1928 - 1929 in the Niagara region of Ontario.

Hi Tom,

There is a John Halliwell and Catherine Halliwell buried in the Township of Flamborough East, County of Wentworth on the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid Site.

http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/search.php

Marriage Registration for Ontario are only available publicly to 1927 currently with a new year added each year.  Anything over that year you have to order direct from the Province of Ontario and be entitled to same.
