Tunstall - BAILEY

George Bailey was baptized on 07 Jun 1818 in Tunstall.  His father's name is Boaz Bailey (I got this information from George's marriage certificate).  Someone else's tree has George's mother listed as Elizabeth Hasell. 

I was wondering if someone could please look up the marriage date for Boaz and Elizabeth, and provide the names of Boaz and Elizebth's parents.  And if not too much trouble, the baptism dates for Boaz and Elizabeth please.  I can't confirm right now because the Family Search website seems to be down, but the film that they have for Tunstall doesn't start until the late 1700s.

As Boaz married before 1.7.1837, the marriage entry will not show any fathers name.  Mothers names are never shown on marriages

There is no entry on the IGI for Boaz - birth or marriage but there is this additional birth entry.  It is an extracted record so is transcribed from the original entry

The Suffolk Burials Index records that Booz Bailey died at age 75 and that he was buried, in Tunstall, on 6 January 1853. There is also an entry for an Elizabeth Bailey (presumably his wife) who died at age 70 and was buried in Tunstall on 2 September 1847. If this is the right couple, they were both born about 1777.

I have checked the Parish Records on microfiche, but I am unable to find any record of their marriage in Tunstall. It doesn't appear that the banns were called there either.

This is not really surprising. The 1851 Census shows that "Boas Beyley" aged 74 was living in Tunstall with his 49 year old son Offley and that they were both born not in Tunstall, but in Friston. [HO107/1802 folio 409 page 9]

Unfortunately I don't have the Friston parish records.
