Horsham St Faiths
« on: Sunday 03 January 10 09:08 GMT (UK) »
For the attention of sonstar and the offer for look ups at Horsham St Faiths, my mothers maiden name was Piercy with numerous differing spellings, I have, I think! tracked the family down to a William Pierce who could have originated in Horstead c 1693 William was buried on the 27th Mar 1750 at Horsham St Faiths, his wife was a Ann maiden name unknown as I do not have the marriage, she was alive in 1750 as she was granted a admon in that year for William, listed as Ann Pearse of Newton St Faiths, I have 9 children for the couple all except the eldest who was born at Felthorpe  were baptised at Horsham St Faiths. My request is for any burials especially Ann's and is there a marriage around 1720.
If you would prefer would you contact me direct and then we could discuss my childhood memories of your part of Norfolk with my current ones in Australia.
Thank you Dennis

For the record, sadly, Densavage is no longer with us. He was a distant cousin of mine.

I have been working on the Piercy line and so far, have come to the same conclusions that Denis did, and have written them up here.

I think it may be possible however, that William Pierce was born in Mattishall. There is a baptism record for a William Pierce in Mattishall, son of John and Susan Pierce,  baptised on 10 February 1693.
