I wonder if you can help im looking for my great grandfather on these ships and can't find anything
HMAS Cerberus served-21-8-1914 to 16.11.1914

HMAS PENGUIN-21-8-1914

HMAS WARREGO-17.11.1914 to 15.6.15

his name was Arthur Hood or arthur e hood
arthur hood born 1881 woolwich kent england

Hi Wiz,

You might be able to find something in the Australian National Archives ... there's a link "stickied" at the top of the postings list for the Australian board.  As all the ships were Australian (and I believe the Cerberus, at least in a later incarnation, was a training ship - therefore not really a "ship" at all, but a base), you may be lucky enough, as I was, to find your man's military records scanned in, and available for download.
