I'm looking for information on Patrick McSweeney b c1810 who served in the Coastguard Service in Kent and Mayo.

found what appears to be his postings just before and after moving from England to Ireland.

It looks to me that the 'from' station on that 1829 transfer is something like Crorie... ( see screenshot below)  but the index in this volume is  damaged - and I have not been able find anywhere with a similar name as yet..

Looks like Crowie Ireland and there was a coastguard station at Crohey Head

I dont see a station listed with that name at the moment... but will keep looking....

I was just searching one of the older ADM volumes (an alphabetical list) and it has places of birth for some people who joined the Coastguard in the 1820s and I spotted a name that might be of interest ...  Daniel Sweeney, born 'Meenmore, Donegal'
