Visiting Pembs Rec Off after 4th Jan 2010
« on: Friday 08 January 10 09:59 GMT (UK) »
There has been a change in the procedure for signing in at the Record Office introduced as of the 4th Jan.
You will in future on your 1st visit only after this date need to register and have a photo taken, please take something with you picture on (Drive Licence/Passport) and a separate document with name/address. You will be issued with a 5 year ident card that in future will be swiped on entry. This card is to be valid for most if not all Record Offices in Wales but not for the NLoW who retain their own ident card.
I’m afraid you still have to make two trips to the car park to put the paper permit on your vehicle which is never checked, buts that another matter.

In which case drive up past Haverfordwest St Martin's across the square and park in the old Gaol exercise yard, or walk up the slop from Castle Sqaure by Castle Back, its just a little more gentle on the leg muscles ;)
