Thank you I will try to bear all this on mind. I have insomnia so now have some info could be up a while.

Robert is a bachelor on his marriage cert.

Apparantly no body messed around ( I am assume with him). There was a story about some false teeth I seem to recall and him or her doing something. I don't think there was much love lost. Nan (beatrice) came to London when she was very young, about 14 so the story goes and did not go home very often. Think she took dad back there dring the war, but never stayed very long.
I know she was scared of one of them, can only assume the Robert that you have found. She never really spoke about them.

If he was that naughty could explain loads i.e the half brother, Tommy. I never recalled him having a welsh accent. Tommy married someone called Pat but for life of me I can not remember his surname. i am sure not the same as nans though. He died n the 1980's in Norwich.

I'll have to post as much detail as I can from military records tomorrow night

He wasn't criminally naughty - just drunk, swore, and gambled!!!

Hi,

Tommy was Beatrice half brother so we were told. I remember meeting him and nan idolised him prob cos of the problems at home. I am not to sure of birth dates but somewhere between 1908 to 1918 I would think. He was certainly younger than nan when he died but then again he died in the 80's she died 2003. There is at least another brother, possibly half brrother called Danny, he was in the navy and he has a wife. Name not known but also had a son called Danny too. I have tried to look up naval info as in uniform but proved a useless task.

God, wouldnt it be so much easier if we coud talk to the dead!
