Help please - Hartford

Could anyone give me any information regarding Hartford and does anyone know where 18 Lamb Street is and is it still there

 What the era, context of your query ?

 The small communities of West Hartford and East Hartford were once Townships of the Parish of Horton.

 The pit at East Hartford closed in 1961.

No sign of a Lamb St now.

The town/village of Cramlington lies just a couple of miles to the south of the Hartfords.

 Today there is a Lamb St in the community of East Cramlington.

There once was a pit there... the Lamp Pit.

Looking for info on George Meredith who lived there in 1911 with some of his family.  They were miners so that would tie in nicely.  On the address it says Hartford Colly, do you know what that means?  It also mentions Cramlington.  I just wanted some background on the type of houses that my ancestors lived in.

 The community of East Hartford developed around the colliery ( Pits "sunk" in 1858 and 1866).

Hartford Colly = abbrev for Hartford Colliery ( or even East Hartford Colliery Village)

The collieries/communities  at East Cramlington and East Hatford were two separate places.

You can see remants on a modern map.

 In my last post, I wrote "East Hatford" instead of East Hartford.

 I notice on 1901 census George and family were living at Cambois colliery.

Yes Michael. 

George moved a large family around quite a lot.  They are never in the same place whenever you look at the census.  I am thinking they followed the work as they all seem to have worked in the pit at one time or another.
