FULLER/POPE Fisherton Anger **COMPLETED **
« on: Wednesday 13 January 10 11:45 GMT (UK) »
Please could someone confirm that Mary Pope married John Fuller 18 July 1711 ?

John Fuller was possibly baptised about 1688

Could the above be checked ?

What are their burial dates (Mary was alive 1716) ?

Did they have any children ?

Thank you, John

Hi John,

I can confirm that the Fisherton Anger parish register has a marriage for a John Fuller to a Mary Pope on 18 July 1711. However, there is no baptism for a John Fuller in that parish (or the neighbouring parishes of Bemerton and St Thomas, Salisbury). Additionally, John and Mary were not buried at Fisherton Anger.

There do not appear to have been any children baptised at Fisherton Anger.

From the IGI there is a Robert Fuller (with parents of John and Mary) baptised at Potterne on 2 July 1712. Is this perhaps relevant?

Hi Nigel

I was aware of Robert Fuller. The Potterne PR baptism record states that John and Mary were from Devizes

Mary Fuller (nee Pope) was baptised and raised in Potterne

At sometime they moved to Devizes from Fisherton as Mary's Will states she was of Devizes. The only beneficiary was the husband

The Fisherton Anger was the easiest one to check. Will have to research through the Devizes Parishes for my answers

many thanks for your help
