William Evans 1844/45 Mathry Pembrokeshire
« on: Friday 15 January 10 14:35 GMT (UK) »
please can you help ?  ::)

I am trying to find the whereabouts of William before 1881 and especially his first marraige details as I'm trying to trace the mother of his daughter Elizabeth (1864/5 St Davids Pemb.)
I know his father was Thomas Evans 1820 Whitechurch Pemb. and he had a brother Hugh who was born in Llanrhian 1863/4
I know he married Esther James in 1873 and that she was step mother to Elizabeth

;D   thanks  Heywood I think you may be right , I can see no other entry that fits as well.

So, that just leaves me with a search for Elizabeths mother to find, and her whereabouts in 1871.

I have just sent for a birth cert. for her (11a 721 Haverfordwest Dec 1864), which Im hoping is correct but I have sent for several for her husband in the hope of getting it right and have been disappointed so far.

still never say die    ;)

I'm trying to trace the mother of his daughter Elizabeth (1864/5 St Davids Pemb.)
I think you will find that Elizabeth Evans was baptised at St David's in 1861.

hi Orielbenfro  :D
thanks for your input on this.  Its very encouraging to have so much help in my search.
Ive had another look at the info I have on Elizabeth ( marriage cert. 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 census) and it all points to the fact that she was born 1864/5. Could there possibly be another candidate around that time?

Hello again,
just to say that there is an Elizabeth born 1861 with father John in St David's- she may be the one Oriel found.
