the steam packet woolwich

could anyone give me any info on 101 high st, the steam packet woolwich in 1881 my great uncle george taylor lived there,is this a pub? as he was a harness maker.also is this building still there if anyone knows.

Loads of the old high street has been redeveloped, It's not going to be there today.

Census shows it included at least nos 99-100-101 so it could be a named terrace/row of buildings

Bell Water Gate (where the Steam Packet Tavern was) is still there, off Woolwich High Steet (go to Google Maps, and enter Woolwich High Street, London, SE18).   It was originally a narrow street leading to a wharf on the river, where the vessels of the Steam Packet Company operated from. 

The Steam Packet Tavern is no longer there.

If you email the Greenwich Heritage Centre, they may have some information on it  --->
