Does anyone know anything about William Cooley & Beatrice from Aston Birmingham who emigrated I believe to Canada in about 1920? Any help much appreciated

freebmd shows
Beatrice V. Chaplin m. William C. Cooley in 1918.
also a possible son to them in 1919

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/passengerListPersonSearchStart.action
shows a Beatrice Cooley b. 1897 with two children heading to Quebec in 1925, I think.
Information on where exactly in Canada they were heading (Quebec is just the port, they needn't have stayed there)  would help in finding more information on them in later years.

Thanks very much, that's a start   I see William wasn't with them.  I wonder where he was?

He may have gone ahead; often the head of the family went first, found work and somewhere to live, and then sent for the rest of the family.

Beatrice and children travelled on the Montrose to England arriving 31 Jan 1925 and returned on the same ship arriving 5 Jun 1925 at Quebec from Liverpool.
Beatrice gave her mother's, Mrs. Chaplin, address as destination and nearest British relative - 45 Ash Rd. Saltley, Birmingham.  She was returning to her husband, William Cooley, in Brownsburg Quebec.
Beatrice, 28, B. Birmingham, Victor, 5 B. Birmingham and Elvera 3. B. Brownsburg, Quebec
In the Drouin records there is a baptism for the daughter in Brownsburg and a 1941 marriage for the daughter in Montreal.
If you want to see these originals (they are in French) send me a PM and I will send you a link.
