VAncouver - marriage 1941-1946

A member of my family married in Vancouver while stationed with the RAF there during the war and they had a son.
Is there any way I can find this marriage on a local index - the equivalent of our BMD sites?

There is no central registry for BMD events in Canada as it is a provincial jursidiction. With respect to British Columbia, marriages from that time period are protected by privacy laws. Your best bet for information may a newspaper announcement on the marriage if there was one.

Have you checked the Armed Forces Marriages database at FindMyPast?  Here's a link to their website (it's a pay site):

Here's a link to the BMD's for British Columbia- so you can see what years are online for which cert.They are all different, marriages bieng subject to a 75 years privacy rule.

I cannot search for marriage on BC as less than 75 years.
However I have been able to check for possible birth and death registrations of wife and son.
I will check FIndmypast website
